Yesterday, we woke up bright and early for a beautiful sunrise hike where at the top we performed Shacharit, looking over four separate countries! We started our day with a bus ride to David Ben-Gurion’s home in Sde Boker, where we learned about the kibbutz and Ben-Gurion’s decision to move there. We had a wonderful first Shabbat in Israel together! We started our morning by visiting different synagogues in Jerusalem to see the different ways that Israelis observe Judaism. We started off our day by heading to Bet Guvrin to see and participate in an active archaeological dig.
