We started our day with Rosh Chodesh shacharit at the synagogue, with torah readings by our own Abby and Hallel led by Sophie and Bri. We started our day at the oldest reform synagogue in the country and the oldest synagogue in continuous use in the country. They had a beautiful sanctuary, an interesting history of Jews in South Carolina museum, and a very fun gift shop. The temperatures are creeping toward triple digits today, so we cooled off at Whirlin’ Waters Waterpark in Charleston, South Carolina! We had a lovely Shabbat at Temple Agudath Achim where we met several former USYers including the Rabbi and his wife. Everyone was so excited to welcome our teens.
